Change is never a superficial process, especially for those of us who are committed daily to social transformation. Today we are happy to reveal a fundamental piece of this journey to you: the new visual identity of the Charlemagne Foundation and our new logo.

An evolution that is not merely aesthetic, but rather a visual reflection and expression of a renewed vision and an even deeper and more solid commitment towards communities and territories.

Our New Logo: A Vision of Generativity

At the center of this transformation is our new logo. Its shape draws inspiration from a primordial, yet fundamental element: the cell. This is because, as a basic unit of life, it represents the organism capable of giving rise to complex structures. In this image we recognized a metaphor capable of telling what the Foundation has always been and wants to continue to be: a generative place, dynamic, in constant transformation. Generativity is indeed one of the key words guiding this change. To generate means to create the conditions so that new energies can emerge, so that ideas, relationships and projects can find space to develop. It is not just about supporting initiatives, but rather about activating and accompanying processes that continue over time.

Who We Are and Where We Want to Go: Community Activators

The Foundation increasingly recognizes itself as an entity that connects people, skills and resources, fostering the creation of networks and collaborations. Like a cell that multiplies and differentiates, communities can grow and strengthen when they are activated, involved and made protagonists of their own change.

We do not want to limit ourselves only to distributing resources, but to be true “catalysts” as well. We see ourselves as activators that provide the necessary energy so that local communities can recognize themselves, organize themselves and become protagonists of their own change. From the past we have learned to be patient investors because we know how important the time factor is; the time that accompanies processes requires continuous investment. We like to walk together even for years and support those at our side without necessarily binding them to a project.

A Website to Navigate Change

Together with the logo, our new website also debuts today. We have worked to create a more intuitive, transparent digital experience capable of telling the stories of the projects we support.

“Our mission is to put the dignity of people at the center. Always and everywhere, in Italy and in the world. This new communication project is a fundamental piece of this commitment and the renewal of the Foundation’s visual identity is in the direction of making it understood how philanthropic synergies can be allies of other components of the Third Sector and institutions. The new website goes in the direction of bringing the world of philanthropy closer to citizens, to communities, to territories.” — Stefania Mancini, President

The form changes, but the substance remains the same: dedication to people and the fight against inequalities. We invite you to explore the new website and to familiarize yourselves with our “cell.”

Welcome to the new Charlemagne Foundation.
